about cia:
cia studios is an initiative of pvi collective. launched by pvi in dec 2008, cia studios provide studio spaces and resources for artists and small companies working in the live art and interdisciplinary art sectors whose practice & processes sit at the edges of traditional artform genres. cia provides an opportunity for pvi collective and residents to generate a hub of artistic risk takers and provide dedicated space in which to exchange ideas, engage in critical debate, share skills and experiment with support from like-minded peers. cia is managed by pvi and its board and initiatives are curated by artists within the collective as well as associate cia artists.

pvi collective are delighted to announce this year’s two recipients of a 12 month long residency at cia studios.
studio 5:
ololo
ololo are three like minded friends who have operated as an artistic production group since 2001. they work across the fields of software development, web technologies and electronics and in recent years have produced a series of large scale works in public spaces both diverse in medium and context.
studio 3: aimee smith
aimee's practise addresses contemporary social issues and incorporates dance with multiple disciplines including theatre, sound composition and digital media in traditional and non traditional environments through collaboration with other artists.
